Thrubit lets you run AWS Step Functions locally with real Lambda execution so you can build and debug workflows without deploying to AWS. This dramatically reduces iteration time and eliminates unnecessary cloud costs during development.
Install and Launch
Download Thrubit for your operating system and launch the desktop application. On first launch, you can activate your trial or enter a license key.
Load Your First Project
Thrubit expects a CloudFormation or SAM-based project. Start by opening a folder that contains a template.yaml file. This file defines your Lambda functions and state machines.
Run Your First Execution
- Select a state machine from the list
- Choose an input (or paste JSON)
- Run the execution locally
You’ll immediately see a visual execution graph and real-time logs.
What Happens Next
Thrubit parses your state machine, resolves Lambda paths, and executes everything locally. No AWS deployment is required.
