Express Eligibility Check

Provides a low-latency express path for participant eligibility screening. It immediately checks eligibility on the incoming request and, if cleared, runs a preliminary biomarker scan, then applies a brief Wait to allow the result to propagate to downstream reporting systems before completing with a Succeed or Fail terminal state.

Models a complete end-to-end clinical trial data pipeline using AWS Step Functions. It validates incoming biological samples, confirms participant eligibility, runs biomarker analysis, screens for adverse events, generates a clinical report, and notifies the principal investigator.

Bulk Sample Processing

Clinical Trial Data

Processes a batch of biological samples concurrently using a Map state, with a maximum concurrency of 3. Each sample in the batch is independently validated and screened for eligibility and biomarker anomalies in parallel branches before being accepted or rejected.

Adverse Event Reporting

Clinical Trial Data

Handles the detection and escalation of adverse events in a clinical trial. It validates the sample, enforces a brief Wait to allow upstream systems to settle, then runs concurrent safety and eligibility checks using a Parallel state before notifying investigators or triggering a critical alert.
