Succeed states mark the successful completion of a workflow or a specific execution path, providing a clear and intentional endpoint. This collection of workflows highlights how Succeed states are used to signal that all required steps have completed without error, whether at the end of a full state machine or within individual branches of Parallel and Map states. You will see how they help define clean termination points, improve readability, and make execution outcomes explicit. While simple in function, Succeed states play an important role in structuring workflows so that success conditions are clearly understood and consistently handled.

End-to-end payment settlement pipeline covering field validation, fraud detection, payment rail authorization, and ledger settlement. Publishes EventBridge events at each major milestone — fraud detected, payment authorized, and settlement complete.

Rapid authorization-only workflow that validates a payment and runs a fraud check before obtaining a payment rail authorization code. Publishes EventBridge events on fraud detection and successful authorization. Does not perform settlement — suited for pre-authorization and holds.

Processes an array of payments concurrently using a Map state. Each payment is independently validated, fraud-checked, authorized, and settled in parallel. Results are collected into a single batch summary with per-payment status records.

This workflow processes an array of freight bookings concurrently using a Map state with a maximum concurrency of 3. Each booking is independently subjected to carrier capacity checks and hazmat screening in parallel branches before being individually confirmed or cancelled.

This workflow handles the end-to-end amendment of a previously confirmed freight booking. It validates the amendment request, enforces a mandatory processing hold using a Wait state, then runs concurrent carrier capacity re-check and hazmat re-verification using a Parallel state before issuing a confirmed amendment or cancellation.
